Oh My, July!

July was our busiest month this summer, and so it will be broken into three posts to allow the reader (which is you) a break for matters of nourishment and personal hygiene.  Alright, let's git to it!

 Independence Day:

1. We went miniature golfing in honor of my mom's birthday.  Addie got a hole-in-one on the above hole.  It was pretty impressive, and a great way to kick off the celebrations.

2. We Slip'n Slided in the backyard.  It was Addie's first time, and she absolutely loved it.  Her method was more of a Drop'n Crawl, but she had the getting wet part down.

4. We played croquet at grandma and grandpa's house.  Jason won.

5. We barbequed and then ate patriotic ice cream cones.  I'm glad our country's flag colors are delicious.

6. Then we did some Tongan Fire Dancing. What, doesn't everyone?  Okay, they were really sparklers... but they were the kind with the dangerously short handles.  Sparkler photos are the best, especially the kind that make you look like you're armless.

End of Independence Day.

7. Jason went spear fishing for the first time.  He only took one shot the entire time he was fishing, but he skewered himself a fish with that one shark-eyed shot.  It was a wee fish, but he was still delicious.

8. We took a family photo without a photographer, using the smart shutter option on the camera and the grill.  Can you tell?  Thanks to the lack of a human operating the camera, no one even knew Addie was making faces until the shoot was over.  Oh well, this is a more accurate portrayal of us anyway.

9. Jack made two important discoveries: the snack cupboard and his belly button.  I think the first discovery led to the other.
