Rainy Day
It rained so much today our back patio turned into Puddle Palooza. Addie spent a lot of time jumping from puddle to puddle, all while holding a little branch she found on the ground.
She then pretended to be a witch and mixed up puddle potions with the branch.
Then she spun circles in the puddles while holding her wand. I'm not sure we own any toys that are as much fun to play with for so long as a stick and a puddle.
After playing outside and getting wet and cold we came in and made banana cupcakes with maple frosting. We played games while we waited for them to bake.
After we frosted them she took some over to her friend Anna's house, where she played for a little while.
This is Addie and Anna. I took this photo earlier this week when they were running around the backyard dressed as bugs and making noise. Anna is 5 and tall for her age. Addie is 3 (almost 4) and small for her age. Despite the differences in size and age, they get along beautifully. Here's what Anna said today about Addie: "She's just like me, only littler and with chubby cheeks." That's pretty accurate, I think.
