Bon Appetit!

Jason and I were invited over for dinner at our neighbor's house last Saturday...which was pretty cool because we have cool neighbors and he is a French chef. They have two little girls, Claudie and Martine, and the girls offered us some relaxing music or a movie when we first got there...Claudie (9?) told us about her lacrosse team and Martine (7?) showed us the 100% she got on her wilde beast report and also showed us her first communion dress and veil. Dinner was fabulous! We had a delicious salad to start with, and then moved on to the main course: pheasant in a mushroom sauce served with rice and an asparagus and green bean salad. (The pheasant was actually from Jason's recent hunting trip in South Dakota. ) It was really good! We kind of felt bad because Patrick (pronounced Pah-treek, he's the chef) kept getting shotgun beebees in his meat. Anyway, it was really delicious! Dessert was flan with cream and fresh raspberries! Mmm! We ended up staying for three hours because we took our time eating (it's the French way) and then enjoyed a slide show of their last trip to France. We had an enjoyable time and felt pretty spoiled to be having a free meal prepared by a French chef.

What, no Escargot? That dessert sounds delicious. I need to teach Jeff to eat the French way, he likes to scarf his food down while its hot.
You should name your girl Martine.

I don't know Melenie, but I agree - Martine is a good name. I say that because I want to name one one my children Addie. But it's first come first serve, I guess. Just know that my only motivation to keep looking for a wife is so that I can have a baby girl named Addie. Just kidding.
